TAVR

St. Bernardine Medical Center's Inland Empire Heart & Vascular Institute is one of the select providers in the country to offer patients a minimally invasive procedure for heart valve replacement. Called Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), the procedure allows for valve replacement without opening a patient’s chest. Learn More about the TAVR procedure.

WATCHMAN™ alternative to blood thinners for those with non-valvular AFib

St. Bernardine Medical Center's Inland Empire Heart and Vascular Institute is pleased to offer patients WATCHMAN™, a one-time, minimally-invasive procedure for those with non-valvular AFib who need an alternative to taking blood thinners. The procedure allows the placement of the WATCHMAN device (implant) into a patient’s heart to permanently reduce the risk from blood clots forming in the heart which could lead to a stroke.
