Dignity Health St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center

Founded in 1895 by the Sisters of Mercy, St. Joseph’s was the first hospital in the Phoenix area. Our 595-bed, acute care hospital provides a wide range of health, social and support services, including tertiary and quaternary level care.St. Joseph’s is a nationally recognized center for quality tertiary care, medical education and research. It includes the internationally renowned Barrow Neurological Institute®, the Norton Thoracic Institute, Center for Women's Health, the Dignity Health – Cancer Institute, and a Level I Trauma Center. 

Arizona Burn Center – Valleywise Health

General surgery residents have year 2 rotations at this nationally recognized treatment center - which offers specialized care to more than 1,000 inpatients; 2,500 emergency patients, and 5000 patients each year from the Southwest region of the United States.
