The purpose of the departmental wellness committee is to promote physical and emotional health and well-being of all departmental members. The committee consists of residents and faculty, which has a program that features a comprehensive curriculum based on four domains of wellbeing: professional, physical, psychological and social. Furthermore, the program monitors and addresses the risk factors of burnout like sleep deprivation, Stress of work relationships, anxiety about competency, high level of anger, loneliness, or anxiety and lack of appreciation on the part of the medical team or patients, fear of making a mistake.
One of main goals of the wellness committee is to identify and address the signs of burn out like chronic fatigue, reduced professional efficacy, pessimism, isolation and irritability. Also, provides education, confidential support, advice, and appropriate professional referral for mental or physical help that meets your needs.
The program has dedicated meeting to discuss burnout and to provide resources for preventing and treating burn out.
We offer an assortment of health & wellness classes and special events to suit your health fancy.
