Message from the Urology Team

Greetings and welcome to St. Joseph’s Urology Residency Program! We are a primarily community-based program based out of Stockton, California. Our inaugural class began in July of 2022 after gaining ACGME accreditation in April of 2022.

St. Joseph’s Urology is in partnership with several health systems and medical schools including the VA of Northern California, Sutter Medical Group, Kaiser Permanant, and Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine. These partnerships give our residents diverse opportunities to treat patients of many different walks of life. Our mission at St. Joseph’s is to train urologists who provide the highest quality of care for the medically under-served, under-insured, and culturally diverse communities of Stockton, San Joaquin County and the Central Valley. Our residents are encouraged to achieve their personal best through a culture of excellence, evidence-based learning, and the art of medicine. 

We believe our mission is achieved through a comprehensive didactic program, an emphasis on team-based care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, a diverse training experience in both academic and community settings, and the promotion of scholarly activity and quality improvement projects targeted to impact the wellbeing of our community. Residents in our program have ample opportunity to learn from urologists and many different subspecialties, but also get the chance to teach medical students on a daily basis.
