Zahra is from Columbia, Maryland. She earned her B.S. from The University of Maryland with a degree in Physiology & Neurobiology. She then earned an M.S. in Physiology from Georgetown University after which she attended Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University for her M.D. Her hobbies include cooking, baking, hiking, and rock climbing.
