Why this Program: One of my goals as a family physician is to serve the medically underserved, which is one of this residency program’s mission. This residency program predominantly serves patients who have MediCal or Medicare. The residents also get to do rotations at Shasta Community Maternity Center, serving low-income and high-risk pregnant patients, as well as Shasta Community Health Center which is a Federally Qualified Health Center. Moreover, this program is located near beautiful places to go to for some outdoor adventure and rejuvenation, such as Whiskeytown Lake, Mount Shasta, Burney Falls, and Lassen Peak!
Interests within Family Medicine: Lifestyle medicine, preventive medicine, community medicine, and osteopathic manipulative medicine.
Hobbies and Outside Interests: Working out, hiking, sightseeing, dancing, baking.
