Limerick Avenue Elementary Closes Great Kindness Challenge Week

Dignity Health-Northridge Hospital is partnering with Kids for Peace and 30 Los Angeles Unified School District Northwest and Northeast District's schools for the 2017 Great Kindness Challenge, a global program that aims to inspire students to make a lifelong commitment to service and kindness. A total of 200 activities will be conducted among the 30 participating schools.

Limerick Avenue Elementary School is Northridge Hospital’s 2017 Ambassador  School who has scheduled a series of activities to close the Great Kindness Challenge week. Teachers, community members, LAUSD Dignitaries, business representatives, Police and Fire Department staff will greet students as they enter the school in the morning.  Followed by 3 more activities that day including judging the door decorating contest. After the contest, students will gather at the school yard wearing their new Kindness shirts, the school chorus will lead everyone in singing the Kindness song.  A 5th grade student will introduce the Kind Balloon Activity.  Each classroom will release a biodegradable balloon that includes  a biodegradable note attached from their classroom to help spread the message of kindness.
