Heart Patient Clark Garrity Welcomed Home

Dignity Health - St. Bernardine Medical Center is welcoming home former heart patient, Clark Garrity, who completed a cross-county bicycle trip to not only raise awareness for St. Bernardine's Inland Empire Heart & Vascular Institute, but also to inspire others to know what they can accomplish after heart surgery.

Clark has survived two open heart surgeries, six bypasses and an aortic valve replacement. All of his surgeries were performed at the hospital’s Inland Empire Heart and Vascular Institute.

His trip encompassed the entire length of Route 66 from Chicago, Illinois to San Bernardino, California, totaling roughly 2,000 miles.

His fundraising efforts have reached nearly $2,600, which he plans to donate to St. Bernardine Medical Center.
