Having a baby changes your life in any number of ways. You've heard about the advantages of breastfeeding and want to know more. This class can help answer those questions.
This three–hour class is recommended if you are considering breastfeeding your baby. Included in the breastfeeding portion of this class is a discussion of the advantages of breast–feeding, anatomy of the breast and how breast milk is produced, proper positioning of the infant while nursing, challenges and common concerns.
The newborn portion of the class will give you the opportunity to practice diapering, bathing and dressing your newborn on life–like dolls. Infant safety, ways to the soothe the baby, and normal growth and development will also be discussed.
This class meets on Wednesdays in the Baby & Family Center. There is a $10 fee. Please call 909.881.4420 for class dates.
Plan now to learn how to properly administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) to your child in an emergency. It's a skill every parent should have, and it could be a life-saver.
This class meets on Wednesdays from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in the Baby & Family Center.
There is a $10 fee.

Having a baby is an exciting time, with many important decisions and preparations to be made. To help parents feel confident as you embark on your journey into parenthood, St. Bernardine Medical Center’s Baby & Family Center offers Maternity Teas and Tours.
Join us to learn more about delivering your baby at St. Bernardine Medical Center. This program includes a tour of the labor and delivery and postpartum units, as well as an opportunity to hear from hospital staff during a complimentary dinner. Moms: Feel free to bring one guest.
Meets the 1st Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. in the hospital lobby.
Important: EDC-Due date and your physician's name are required. Please note that children cannot attend a Maternity Tea and Tour class.

The Prepared Childbirth Method is a physical and psychological preparation for childbirth that addresses Lamaze techniques, breast-feeding and newborn topics.
Classes include anatomy and physiology of labor, breathing techniques, relaxation and pushing techniques, plus discussions regarding fetal monitoring and medications.
Meets Wednesdays, from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m., at the Baby & Family Center. This is a three-week class.
