American Heart Association Presents St. Mary Medical Center with First Ever Get with the Guidelines® Silver Award for Heart Failure

On Friday, August 10, Dignity Health - St. Mary Medical Center was presented with the American Heart Association's Get With the Guidelines® Heart Failure Silver Quality Achievement Award.

This is the first time St. Mary was honored with this recognition, which demonstrates the hospital’s commitment to ensuring heart failure patients receive the most appropriate treatment according to nationally recognized, research-based guidelines. The Silver Quality Achievement Award illustrates one full year in meeting specific measures for the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure patients, including education, medication management, and follow-up care plans. The goal is a smooth recovery process while reducing hospital readmissions.
