The Welcome Baby program is a free program that is dedicated to helping you and your baby get off to the right start by providing you with the support, information, and resources you need to navigate the challenges of parenthood with confidence. We believe that every parent deserves a positive and empowering experience, and we are committed to making that a reality for all families who participate in our program.

Benefits of the Welcome Baby Program

The Welcome Baby program offers a wide range of benefits for new parents and their families, including:

  • Early enrollment: You can enroll in the program prenatally or soon after delivery, ensuring you receive support from the very beginning.
  • Personalized care: You will receive individualized attention and support at home from a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, lactation consultants, and parent coaches .
  • Education and resources: The program provides access to valuable information and resources on breastfeeding, newborn care, postpartum recovery, and parenting skills.
  • Emotional support: In addition to support received from the Welcome Baby team, families may be referred to support groups and individual counseling to address any concerns or challenges they may be facing.
  • Community connections: The program helps parents connect with others  in the community, fostering a sense of belonging and support.
  • Comprehensive support: Our Registered Nurses provide screening and information on topics such as postpartum care, newborn feeding and sleeping, bonding/attachment, postpartum emotions, and additional support post-NICU. Our Parent Coaches offer guidance and resources on a wide range of topics, including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, parenting, early child development, basic healthcare, nutrition, maternal depression, and home safety.
  • Improved hospital experience: The Welcome Baby team provides information about breastfeeding, bonding with your baby, and resources to help you take care of your baby. Social workers are available for support during the hospital stay.This can help create a welcoming and supportive environment for mothers and their families, reducing stress and anxiety during their hospital stay.
