Sara DimeoSara Dimeo, MD, MEHP

Thank you for your interest in our program! We are so excited to be ushering in the next generation of Emergency Medicine (EM) physicians when the need for future leaders in our specialty has never been greater. EM is a noble career, focused on caring for all patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. We treat any and all patients, and are committed to providing the highest quality of patient care under dynamic circumstances.

Launching in 2024, our program hit the ground running and has already made waves in the EM community as we place a strong emphasis on resident well being and providing a robust clinical experience. Our residents gain strong clinical and procedural skills through work at our primary site, Chandler Regional Medical Center, which is a busy, level I trauma, stroke, and STEMI center. We are have longitudinal pediatric EM shifts at Phoenix Children's and will soon have an on-site Pediatric ED at Mercy Gilbert in conjunction with Phoenix Children's. Complemented by rural Indian Health Service rotations in Gila River and Fort Defiance, you will be prepared to work in any environment. Our engaging didactic curriculum, which includes monthly hands-on simulation, POCUS, procedural, and boards practice and engaging didactic content means you will never have to sit through hours of endless lectures again. Our partnership with Creighton University provides enhanced academic and scholarly support to our residents and faculty.

We respect the individual strengths and diversity of our learners, and our community of faculty are dedicated to providing you with individualized coaching to achieve your goals whether they be to pursue an academic fellowship, work in a rural area, or in the community. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, and we look forward to meeting you.
