We've Got Your Back
If back or neck pain is slowing you down, we can help
Since 1982, St. Mary's Spine Center has provided patients with excellent care. We take pride in our experience as the oldest continuously operating spine center in the western U.S. Today, we continue to be known as San Francisco's premier Spine Center, with the latest procedural innovations and holistic, well-coordinated care.
Experts In Less Invasive Treatment
Of all patients treated at the Spine Center, only 6% have needed surgical treatment. We offer a full spectrum of treatment options, including less invasive techniques such as:
- Manual manipulation
- Medication management
- Nutritional counseling
Advanced Surgical Techniques
If you require surgery, we use leading-edge surgical techniques, including minimally invasive surgery that can dramatically reduce recovery time. Surgeons at the Spine Center invented the X-STOP implant for the treatment of spinal stenosis. This minimally invasive outpatient procedure and the "Pro-Disc" artificial disc replacement procedure, also developed by our surgeons, are nationally recognized.
In 2014, St. Mary’s began using the Mazor Renaissance™ guidance system, offering increased safety and precision during a wide range of spine procedures. St. Mary’s Spine Center is the only Bay Area hospital to utilize this leading-edge technology for spine surgery.
