Walking ability can determine whether or not a person can live independently. The Motek C-Mill is a high-tech treadmill that analyzes a patient’s unique walking pattern and then uses virtual and augmented reality to customize walking and balance training. Through the use of an instrumented treadmill and a floor projector, both functional gait training and balance training are enhanced. The C-Mill brings scientifically-based motor learning principles into clinical practice with virtual and acoustic cues, enhanced variation, motivation, parameter-adjustability, and both real-time and after-session reports. The C-Mill also has the capability of training with the use of a body weight support system. It’s a fun and interactive way to teach patients to avoid obstacles, adjust step width or length, and improve safety to master skills needed to live independently.
The C-Mill is ideal for patients who have suffered Spinal Cord Injury, Stroke, Brain Injury, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Orthopedic conditions, and a number of other diagnoses.
