Diagnostic services are an important part of maintaining your overall health. Women need preventive screenings to remain healthy and keep abreast of health issues before they become serious. St. Bernardine Medical Center offers imaging specific to the needs of women including mammography and other breast exams. An annual mammogram is recommended for all women age 40 and older. St. Bernardine Medical Center features full-service breast imaging with advanced equipment for digital mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and more. Our skilled staff is here to provide a comfortable experience.

The skilled team at St. Bernardine Medical Center treats each form of cancer as aggressively as possible. Our affiliated oncologists work tirelessly alongside radiation therapists, surgeons, nurses and support staff to give all patients hope for a long and healthy life.

Gynecological Services and Surgery

Dignity Health is focused on providing the best health care options for the many conditions that affect our female patients. Common conditions we treat at St. Bernardine Medical Center are:

  • Endometriosis
  • Fibroids
  • Prolapse
  • Urinary Incontinence
  • Cysts

We offer minimally invasive gynecological surgery, so you can return to the activities you enjoy sooner. Generally, the incisions are smaller, hospital stays are shorter and recovery time is reduced substantially.

At St. John's hospitals, we are here to offer you the support and care you need to heal completely. We're here to listen and respond to ensure that you have the support you need to recover as quickly as possible.

Urologic Incontinence (UI) in Women

Urinary incontinence (UI) is the loss of bladder control. Anyone can experience urinary incontinence, but it becomes most common with age. Urinary incontinence in women can be caused by pregnancy and vaginal childbirth, genetic factors, obesity and other medical conditions.

There are several different types of incontinence, and your doctor will determine which type you have by reviewing your complete medical history, discussing your symptoms with you and performing some common tests.

Surgical Center of Excellence
