Basketball Legends Visit St. Rose

Dozens of former NBA and WNBA players participated in the NBRPA's Second Annual Day of Caring, visiting with young patients at Children's Miracle Network Hospitals on December 8.

In southern Nevada, Spencer Haywood, former NBA all-star, participated at the Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican, Siena Campus.

For the Second Annual Day of Caring on December 8, NBRPA Legends visited nine hospitals in the following markets: Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Las Vegas, Miami, New York City, and Orlando. Patients at each hospital met and were greeted by NBRPA members. Some patients received mini-basketballs autographed by all the NBRPA members attending the Day of Caring. As part of the event, Northern Trust made a $5,000 donation to the NBRPA’s Dave DeBusschere Scholarship Fund and the Children’s Miracle Network, as well as providing in-kind support.
