Comprehensive Children's Services in Henderson, NV

Compassionate Pediatric Services

St. Rose Dominican, Siena Campus offers complete, specialized pediatric services for children from birth to 17 years of age

Siena Hospital Pediatric Services

Being in the hospital can be scary for adults and kids alike. Kids are not “small adults” when it comes to medical care. Their needs - medical and emotional - are unique and require medical experts specifically trained in pediatrics to properly address and treat them.

Children’s Emergency Room

Siena Hospital's Children's ER is the city of Henderson's only pediatric Emergency Room, for children from birth to 17. The newly relocated and remodeled Children's Emergency Room is completely separate from the adult ER and provides:

  • Dedicated Children's ER entrance and waiting area
  • Child-friendly, private treatment rooms and waiting area
  • Double board-certified physicians in Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine
  • Highly trained Pediatric Registered Nurses
  • Collaborative care with your family pediatrician
  • Around-the-clock care -- available 24/7, 365 days a year

Parents may rest assured knowing their children are cared for by highly qualified and compassionate pediatricians and staff. When more than emergent care is needed, our team of pediatric ICU and hospitalist physicians, neonatal ICU physicians, pediatric surgeons and specialists, and a multi-disciplinary team, including Child Life Specialist, will collaborate with your child's pediatrician.

We also offer InQuicker, an online ER waiting service that lets you choose an estimated hospital arrival time online so you can wait with your child from the comfort of your home. If your child is experiencing a life or limb threatening emergency or is under the age of three, please do not use the online waiting service. Call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency room.

During your family’s ER visit, use ERAdvisor to receive ER visit updates on your mobile phone.

Pediatric Unit and Pediatric ICU

Our 14-bed pediatric unit includes six Pediatric Intensive Care Rooms and offers a child-friendly environment with caring, experienced health care professionals who are specially certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Our pediatric nurses work as a team with board-certified physicians, Child Life Specialists, and parents to provide education and support, ensuring our smallest patients receive special care.

When our young patients start to feel better, mobile gaming units are available, so they can enjoy their favorite video games to help the hospital feel more like home.

We encourage a parent to stay in the child's room during the night. For the safety of our young patients, we limit visitors to ages 16 and older.

Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

A NICU is a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, which provides extra care and attention for premature or critically ill babies. You can feel reassured knowing your baby will be cared for by a team of highly trained specialists in Siena Hospital's Level III NICU.

The Siena Campus has a Level III NICU, the highest designation available in southern Nevada. This advanced unit is designed to care for premature newborns or those who require specialized care.

• The most advanced care and treatments for breathing problems, heart conditions and birth defects.
• On-site, board certified neonatal physicians and highly trained neonatal nurses.
• A neonatal transport team to coordinate transfers to and from the NICU, keeping patients safe and comfortable.
