Dr Darukhanavala Joins Pediatric Endocrinology Clinic

Dignity Health Medical Group Nevada (DHMG), affiliated with the Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican hospital system, welcomes Dr. Amy Darukhanavala ('Dr. Daru) to practice at its Dream Fund Pediatric Endocrinology Clinic in Henderson.

Dr. Daru completed her training in Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of Chicago and has been practicing in southern Nevada for two years. Dr. Daru is board certified in both pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology.

Dr. Daru’s professional interests include type 1 diabetes, thyroid and adrenal disorders, and growth disorders. However, she has a special interest in pediatric obesity, weight management, and prevention of type 2 diabetes. “Excessive weight due to poor lifestyle choices may cause medical problems in children that were once only expected in adults just a generation ago,” said Dr. Daru, “As a pediatric endocrinologist, I hope to help my patients make healthy choices now to prevent any future problems, such as high cholesterol or type 2 diabetes.”

“The physicians who care for Dignity Health Medical Group patients share the vision of treating patients the way they would want their own loved ones treated,” said Stephen Jones, MD, Chief Physician Executive for Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican, “so they do their best to ensure that each patient experience is warm and friendly, with a touch of humankindness. We are thrilled to have Dr. Daru practice at our clinic.”

The Dream Fund Pediatric Endocrinology clinic is located at 10001 S. Eastern Avenue, Suite 209, and is accepting new and returning patients and most insurance plans. Dignity Health Medical Group offers same day appointments at its three clinic locations. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call (702) 616-5801 or visit us.
