St. Bernardine Medical Center is one of less than 200 hospitals nationwide to earn the designation as a Baby-Friendly® Hospital. To achieve this status, we designed our care practices to provide our patients with a high-level of breast-feeding support and education in the first crucial months of a baby's life.
St. Bernardine also has a Baby & Family Center, providing expanded space and privacy for the Breastfeeding Clinic as well as prenatal education classes. The Center also offers support groups, outreach education, and more.
Each mother has her own private room throughout the birth and recovery experience. Mother-baby rooms are also designed so that your baby can stay with you throughout your hospital stay.
Life is unpredictable and we're ready. St. Bernardine has partnered with Ob Hospitalist Group to ensure that a board certified OB/GYN is available at the hospital 24 hours a day, just in case your OB/GYN is not available when you're ready to deliver.
St. Bernardine's NICU provides specialized care for premature babies and embraces parents as a vital part of the health care team.
A highly regarded 463-bed nonprofit acute-care hospital, St. Bernardine was founded in 1931 and has since grown to provide a full continuum of services. St. Bernardine delivers 2,100 babies every year and is widely known for the Inland Empire Heart and Vascular Institute, the second largest heart program in Southern California. St. Bernardine is accredited by the Joint Commission and has received many awards and distinctions - read more on Quality.
