St. Bernardine Medical Center is one of less than 200 hospitals nationwide to earn the designation as a Baby-Friendly® Hospital. To achieve this status, we designed our care practices to provide our patients with a high-level of breast-feeding support and education in the first crucial months of a baby's life.

Baby & Family Center for pre- and post-natal education  

St. Bernardine also has a Baby & Family Center, providing expanded space and privacy for the Breastfeeding Clinic as well as prenatal education classes. The Center also offers support groups, outreach education, and more.

Private birthing rooms and mother-baby rooms

Each mother has her own private room throughout the birth and recovery experience. Mother-baby rooms are also designed so that your baby can stay with you throughout your hospital stay. 

OB/GYN Hospitalists 

Life is unpredictable and we're ready.  St. Bernardine has partnered with Ob Hospitalist Group to ensure that a board certified OB/GYN is available at the hospital 24 hours a day, just in case your OB/GYN is not available when you're ready to deliver.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

St. Bernardine's NICU provides specialized care for premature babies and embraces parents as a vital part of the health care team.
