How to Apply
A. The residency uses ERAS for all applications to our residency program and will look for the following information to be in ERAS:
- Personal Statement
- Current CV
- Dean's letter from US grads/ECFMG from international medical school graduates
- Medical school transcripts
- Three letters of recommendation, with one structured letter of evaluation (SEL) from your internal medicine rotation highly recommended
- Graduation from an approved medical school determined by using the World Directory of Medical School's list of recognized schools within the last two years;
- USMLE or COMLEX Transcripts.
B. International Medical Graduates (IMGs). In addition to the requirements listed above, IMGs must have the following:
ECFMG Certification
An ECFMG Certificate is required before you will be granted an interview. IMGs who have not yet graduated must complete the application with the ECFMG. Interviews may be granted to IMGs without an ECFMG Certificate if they are currently enrolled in medical school and they meet the other application criteria. For further information please contact:

C. Interview Season Details:
- Interviews will be conducted from October to December. The majority of our interview invitations will be sent out in October and early November. After this date, we may continue to offer additional limited interview invitations or waitlist slots as they become available.
- All interviews will be held virtually. Applicants selected for an interview will receive direct communication about the interviewing process and virtual interviewing platform we use, which is Thalamus. Please make sure to have the application installed and tested prior to your interview day.
- Interviews may have both asynchronous and synchronous components to be completed within the applicant’s selected interview day. We will have morning and afternoon sessions for you to select from.
- Interviews will be standardized and conducted by the Program Director and several faculty members.
- All selected applicants will be subject to the same interview format and review.
