We can't change the world by ourselves. Partnering with others who share our mission and values is necessary to bring about real and lasting improvements. Dignity Health's Community Grants Program is one way we are working collaboratively to improve the health and well-being of vulnerable and underserved populations in the communities we serve. The Community Grants Program has awarded $80 million to nearly 3,600 health improvement projects since 1991.
About the Community Grants Initiative
Every Dignity Health hospital has conducted a community health assessment and has identified strategic priorities based on this assessment.
An objective of Dignity Health's Community Grants Program is to award grants to nonprofit organizations whose proposals respond to the Priorities identified in the health assessment and/or the community benefit plans of its hospitals.
Dignity Health grant funds are to be used to provide services to underserved populations (economically poor; women and children; mentally or physically disabled; or other disenfranchised populations).
