Dignity Health Mercy Gilbert Medical Center and Phoenix Children’s Hospital celebrated a major milestone recently in the construction of the new Women’s and Children’s Pavilion on the Mercy Gilbert campus as the final steel beam of the structure was set into place. 

 

Mercy Gilbert ranks in top 5% of hospitals nationally

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center received Healthgrades’ America’s 250 Best Hospitals Award, ranking the hospital in the top 5% in the country. Healthgrades evaluates 4,500 hospitals across the country and determines the top 50, 100, and 250 hospitals in the nation. Patients treated at these hospitals have, on average, a 27.1% lower risk of dying, according the organization.

 

Boot camp before joint repair helps get people back in the game

Before patients get a new knee or hip, should they have to go to boot camp? It’s a two-hour training program that teaches them what to expect before, during and after surgery, and how they can make the process easier.

 

Phoenix Children’s, Dignity Health begin construction of Women’s and Children’s Pavilion

Government leaders, corporate executives and even young children joined in ground breaking events today for a state-of-the-art medical facility designed to serve women and children in the East Valley. The project is a partnership between Dignity Health, one of the nation’s largest health systems, and Phoenix Children’s, Arizona’s only nationally recognized pediatric hospital.
