Welcome Family Medicine Applicants

Northridge participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). All applicants must submit their application and supporting documents through ERAS (Electronic Residency Application Service).

For your residency application to be considered complete, please provide the following items:

  • ERAS application with personal statement
  • USMLE / COMLEX results (passing scores, 1st attempt)
  • Medical School transcripts
  • Dean's letter (MSPE)
  • Three professional letters of recommendation (minimum 1 from a Family Medicine Physician)
  • International graduates must provide PTAL from the California Medical Board and ECFMG Certification (evidence of submission / receipt of from the MBC is unacceptable)
  • Graduation within five years is strongly preferred
  • Visa sponsorship is not available

Our ERAS post office will open in the fall for applicants seeking a position in the next Match. Our application deadline is December 15.

Virtual Interview Day Applicant Itinerary 2021/2022

This year all of our interviews will be conducted virtually. Schedules and agendas are currently in the works, but below is a synopsis of the itinerary for interview days.

Monday Afternoons:

1:30 pm – 4:30 pm

  • Meet and Greet / Q&A w/ Residents
  • Meet and Greet & Program Review w/ Program Director
  • 30 min interview w/ Resident
  • 30 min interview w/ Faculty 

Thursday Mornings:
8:30 am – 11:30 am

  • Meet and Greet / Q&A w/ Residents
  • Meet and Greet & Program Review w/ Program Director
  • 30 min interview w/ Resident
  • 30 min interview w/ Faculty

Second Looks: Vaccine Required (May change depending on restrictions)

We may be offering in person second looks post-interview date scheduled depending on availability and COVID restrictions. We will be requiring a copy of complete COVID vaccines and must be dated 14 days post vaccine. This website will be updated accordingly to bring you the latest news on interviews.
