Greta Berger, MD
Medical School: Medical College of Wisconsin
Greta grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota with a love for art projects and exploring northern Minnesota on canoe trips. Ever since witnessing the powerful connections of Family Medicine while shadowing her own Family doc in high school, Greta was hooked. She followed her heart to Knox College, a small liberal arts school in Galesburg, IL, where she studied Biology and Sociology. Her liberal arts education empowered her to explore a curiosity for science and love for humanities, while allowing for the occasional art class – her perfect balance. During college, Greta discovered a passion for community work, participating in community projects & town committees. This led her to pursue a service year with AmeriCorps following graduation. As a Medicaid Outreach Community Health Worker in Madison, WI, she worked to connect folks experiencing incarceration and homelessness to insurance and primary care. This experience further confirmed her path toward Family Medicine. Greta attended the Medical College of Wisconsin’s accelerated 3-year primary care track in Wausau, WI. During medical school, Greta worked with Wausau’s Hmong community on addressing health needs and food access during the COVID-19 pandemic, started a Health Equity Podcast Club for her campus, and advocated for student wellness efforts and insurance access. Greta is thrilled to be joining the MFM family! She adventured to the West Coast with her partner Sean and their sweet, scruffy dog, Gizmo. She plans to explore the Farmer’s Markets and nature trails of Northern California and take a few pottery classes on her weekends off.

She obtained her medical degree from UC Davis School of Medicine with hopes to improve access to quality healthcare for communities like the one that raised her. She chose family medicine because of her interest in whole-person care, care for the family unit, and the prevention and management of chronic disease. Wyatt Graham, MD
Medical School: University of California, Davis, School of Medicine
Wyatt grew up just outside of Fresno where he was introduced to his love of medicine by his father who was a PA. In 2012, he moved Yolo County to attend UC Davis where he studied Biochemistry. After graduating, he got married to his wonderful wife, Cori, and worked in preparation for medical school. He was fortunate enough to be accepted to UC Davis School of Medicine where he has spent the last 4 years. Here, he grew his interests in chronic disease management, global medicine and pediatrics. When he wasn't studying for tests or in the hospital, he was remodeling his home with his wife. Wyatt considered himself equal part medical student and home improver. To relax, Wyatt, Cori and their two dogs, Teddy and Piper, find every chance to hike in the mountains surrounding Sacramento. Now that he has graduated, he is excited to join the Methodist Family Medicine team in serving the population of Sacramento.

Markkus Hasychak, DO
Medical School: Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine
I am a bay area native who loves to serve in my church and the local community. I completed my B.S. in Biology at CSU East Bay, followed by my M.S. and D.O. degree at Touro University California College of Osteopathic Medicine. During this time I cultivated a passion for primary care, which led me to seek residency training in full-spectrum Family Medicine. Dignity Health Methodist's involvement with underserved communities, along with their incredible staff instantly made them my top choice to train. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve Sacramento with Dignity and am excited to make lasting connections in the area. I firmly believe that patient education and a strong Doctor-patient relationship are the first steps on the path to a healthy, fulfilling life. In my spare time, I enjoy volleyball, hockey, biking, hiking, volunteering in my church, and spending quality time with my loved ones.

Cindy Ma, MD
Medical School: California Northstate University College of Medicine
Cindy was born in San Jose, CA, and spent most of her childhood in the Sacramento area. She attended UC Davis with a major Microbiology (just like her dad, who was her biggest role model!) and a minor in Psychology. As an undergraduate health resource advocate for a Sacramento clinic, she realized the importance of understanding the social determinants of health and became interested in primary care. In medical school, she had many interests within medicine and also enjoyed community outreach; she found that Family Medicine was a great fit for her. As a family medicine physician, she is excited to build relationships with her patients and enjoys the opportunities to care for entire families. Her goal is to empower her patients with the knowledge about their health and to optimize their health, so they can focus to things they cherish in life, like spending time with their loved ones. Brianna Quincy, MD, MS
Medical School: University of Arizona College of Medicine Tucson
I grew up in Menlo Park/Palo Alto, CA before moving to Northfield, Minnesota for college. I've always had a passion for history and medicine, so I majored in history in college and got a Master's in biomedical sciences in Virginia afterwards. Feeling as though I had not seen enough of the country, I came to Tucson, Arizona for medical school. Over the past 4+ years, my interest in full spectrum Family practice, working with the rural underserved, and working with survivors of sex trafficking led me to start my residency at Dignity Health. In my spare time, I love to read (continuing my history passion), hike, bake, garden, and explore new restaurants.

She later moved to the Midwest for medical school at Michigan State University, where she continued her interests working with immigrant populations and promoting health education through the Engaged Partners Project, a community collaboration supporting refugee families with resettlement. Valerie chose family medicine for its incredible breadth of patient care; she also feels it provides a unique opportunity to understand the complex perspectives that guide patients' lives and health, especially in socioeconomically and culturally diverse communities. Outside of the hospital, Valerie enjoys cooking new Instant Pot recipes, camping, backpacking, and browsing books at the local library.

Hermione Gaw, MD
Medical School: State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, College of Medicine
Hermione was born across the ocean in Myanmar and at the age of 4 moved with her family to the San Francisco bay area to start a new chapter in their lives. Her interests in science, service, and the environment led her to graduate from UC San Diego with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and a minor in Urban Studies and Planning. Her own experience as a first-generation immigrant combined with her work as a medical scribe and volunteer health advocate led to a growing passion for social advocacy and underserved medicine – a perfect pairing with the field of family medicine. At SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, NY she continued to nurture that passion, serving in various leadership and volunteer roles at the Anne Kastor Brooklyn Free Clinic while volunteering in various roles around the community. She is excited to join the Methodist family, where she hopes to leave a positive impact while pursuing her interests in community medicine, urgent care, chronic disease management, preventative medicine, and patient advocacy. With an eye for research, she further studied the effects of nicotine on abdominal aortic aneurysms at Stanford University. At that time, Tooba realized that she missed the interaction with patients from her times as a volunteer in undergrad. Since her impact felt more substantial and gratifying from working first hand with people, she went on to medical school at St. George's University. Dr Khan has joined the Methodist family after a surgical intern year at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. In her free time, she enjoys comedy, the outdoors, tapas and spending time with friends and family.

Hayoung Youn, MD
Medical School: Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University
Hayoung spent the first ten years of her life living in South Korea before moving to Monterey Bay, California. She found her deep interest in medicine and community outreach in her early life through a personal illness as well as her global health experiences in Nicaragua and Mexico as an undergrad. Fascinated by the wide breadth of training in primary care, she worked as a scribe at a family medicine clinic for a year before moving to Philadelphia for medical school. As a medical student navigating her way through the pandemic, she further solidified her interest in serving marginalized populations as well as burnout prevention in medicine. While being quarantined, she founded a city-wide online tutoring program connecting college and graduate students to children of healthcare workers and low-income families in the Greater Philadelphia Area. She and her college friends also published a book titled "Diaries of a Medical Student" in the effort to create an open and safe environment for those in medicine to share their struggles and vulnerability with others. She is incredibly grateful to have successfully matched in Sacramento with her husband and to join such an admirable and mission-driven team at Methodist, where she hopes to find her niche and continue to grow as a person and physician.
