We welcome fourth-year medical students to spend 2 to 4 weeks with our residency program, after which many decide that we are their first choice come Match Day! The experience includes working in our out-patient clinic Mercy Family Health Center, rounding with the medicine team at the hospital, and participating in various community outreach activities.
A clerkship is not a prerequisite for acceptance into our residency program. It is an opportunity for a student to experience the role of a family doctor in a community practice setting. To be eligible, the student must be currently enrolled in an A.C.G.M.E.-accredited medical school listed by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) or American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM). Applications are reviewed prior to scheduling rotations. Please contact Mary Jane Lopez by email at [email protected].
