Flowers on the Water Memorial

Flowers on the Water is a memorial that honors women and men currently living with breast cancer and those who lost their lives to the disease. These memorials/ceremonies have become a regular ritual at dragon boat races that include breast cancer survivor dragon boat teams. Survivors and Supporter teams will be able to purchase flowers during the day that can be tossed into the water. A special “Flowers on the Water” area will be designated where festival attendees can say a few words or reflect to themselves then toss their flowers into the water as a celebration of survival and to remember those lost.

Painted Paddles Gallery

Paddles painted by breast cancer survivors or in honor of those touched by the disease will be on display in a visually striking outdoor gallery, and this year, local artists are painting paddles that will be auctioned off at the festival.

Extraordinary paddles will be available for purchase this year ... including the amazing ones shown below, created by Janice Van Gorder, Kina Foster, Kashmir Dixon and Brittany Donovan of Greenspun Media Group!

Paddles can be purchased for $10 and painted by you or for you in honor of someone affected by breast cancer. Painted paddles will be sold at the festival with proceeds benefiting the St. Rose Dominican Hospitals and WomensCare Centers of Excellence breast health services.

Light the Way Lantern Tribute

Traditional Chinese lanterns can be purchased for $5 each and can be dedicated to those affected by breast cancer. They will adorn the floating stage at Lake Las Vegas Village to represent our efforts to light the way to more funding for un- and under-insured women and men affected by breast cancer.
