Engelstad Foundation R.E.D. Rose Program

Do it for yourself, do it for them

Taking care of your health is not just good for you, it’s good for everyone who depends on you to be there for them. That’s why it’s important to have regular breast exams; early detection is the best weapon to fight any disease that could put your good health at risk.

Breast cancer can affect both women and men, and with early detection and treatment, breast cancer patients have a 95 percent chance of surviving to go on to lead healthy, happy and vibrant lives.

Contact The Engelstad Foundation R.E.D. Rose Program at St. Rose Dominican. You can get a preventive exam totally free with no need for medical insurance or proof of residency. Bilingual services are available ... simply call (702) 620-7858.

When you get a mammogram for yourself, you're also getting it for the whole family.

Southern Nevada ranks among the highest in the nation for underinsured and uninsured individuals. Through its R.E.D. Rose Program, Dignity Health - St. Rose Dominican provides free clinical breast exams, mammograms, ultrasounds, surgical consultations and biopsies to women and men who lack adequate health care resources or the financial means to obtain them.

R.E.D. Rose (RED stands for Responsible Early Detection), and since its inception, the R.E.D. Rose Program has provided screenings, clinical breast exams, mammograms, ultrasounds, surgical consultations, and biopsies for more than 7,000 clients.

Because the breast cancer survival rate for both women and men is directly related to how early treatment is sought, the program addresses the need for quality breast cancer screenings, diagnostic screenings and treatment

On November 30, 2018, the program was re-dedicated as the Engelstad Foundation R.E.D. Rose Program after the St. Rose Dominican Health Foundation received a transformational $10 million donation from the Las Vegas-based Engelstad Foundation.
